A Forum on a Constitutional Convention with Tim Potts

The Manheim Township and Warwick Democrats are sponsoring an open forum with Tim Potts, co-founder of Democracy Rising, on July 7th at the Manheim Township Municipal Building. The forum will discuss the possibility of a Constitutional Convention to reform state government. Discussion will begin at 7:00 pm.

Democracy Rising is a non-partisan organization focused on educating citizens about their ability to achieve lasting reforms in state government.  Democracy Rising poses the question, “Why doesn’t our state government have the highest standards of public integrity in America?”

Corruption within the legislative caucuses and the inability to pass a state budget in a timely fashion highlight the need for a Constitutional Convention Referendum. Read more...

The Manheim Township Democratic Committee normally meets the 1st Wednesday of each month, 7 p.m. @ Manheim Township Municipal Building 1840 Municipal Drive Lancaster, PA 17601

No meeting in July or December.

Manheim Township Democratic Committee and Club meetings are open to all residents of Manheim Township, PA regardless of party affiliation and to members of the press.

The Manheim Township Democratic Club is participating in a road cleanup project sponsored by the Manheim Township Board of Supervisors.

The next road clean up will be on May 25th. We meet at 9 am in the parking lot of the Neffsville post office.

Lew Sudul has booked 50 tickets for Saturday, July 24th at 4:00 P.M. for the Manheim Township Democratic Club to at Citizen's Bank Park to watch the Phillies defeat the Colorado Rockies. This event will help the Club raise money for the 2010 general election.

Tickets are $55 per person which includes admission and transportation. We are taking a coach. We are in section 413 along the 1st baseline.  The bus leaves Conestoga Tours parking lot (1530 Commerce Drive) at 1:00 pm and returns approximately 9:30 pm.

Poll Greeters Needed

The Manheim Township Democratic Club will need poll greeters at each polling place for the May 18th primary election. We used 30" by 40" displays to feature candidates and their positions on the ballot.

Greeters are always needed to man and woman the polls on election days. If you can give an hour or two to greet voters at the polls, our District Leader, Doreen Kreiner at 717.393.7915.
