State Committee position to be filled
To all of Lancaster County’s Democratic women:
There is currently an opening on the Lancaster
delegation of the PA State Democratic Committee which
must be filled by a registered Democratic female.
If you are interested in serving on the PA State
Democratic Committee, please submit your resume to
lcdc@lancasterdems.com by Tuesday, September 18th
and attend the Executive Board meeting on September
27th, 7 p.m. at LCDC Headquarters, 53 N. Duke Street,
Lancaster, PA 17602.
You will have a few minutes to speak about yourself and
let the Executive Board members know why you are
interested in serving on the State Committee. A vote by
the Executive Board members will be taken at the
meeting.
Information: The PA Democratic State Committee members
are elected to a four-year term in Primary elections in
the even years between the Presidential elections: 2010,
2014, 2018, etc. Lancaster County’s current State
Committee members were elected in the 2010 Primary by
the Democratic voters of Lancaster County. The PA
Democratic State Committee is currently chaired by
Allegheny County attorney, Jim Burn. The members convene
three times each year, in different parts of the state,
to endorse candidates for statewide office, adopt party
platform positions on issues affecting Pennsylvania, and
conduct other Democratic Party business.
