Dear Democratic Family,
When I first got involved in politics, the odds looked staggering. Republicans “owned” our city, polling places, boroughs, townships, and the prevailing “group think.” We lost elections many times, but we didn’t let the sting defeat us. We kept at it and things changed. With the extraordinary work of fellow Democrats and outstanding candidates, we found our voices in letters to the editor, yard signs, bumper stickers, and little by little, the landscape shifted. In the city it was seismic. In the county it was significant. What mattered was that change occurred.
It’s up to all of us now to keep that change in motion!
Remember, we’re on the right side of history.
It’s 2017. Has there ever been a more important time to continue the work?
Let’s care about the elections coming up this year for judgeships, municipal and school board races. Let’s care about what we CAN DO to make a difference THIS year.
Here’s to our collective strength in the Party of Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Clinton, and Obama. Thanks to all of them!
And here’s to 2017,
Onward and in Solidarity,
& Thanks to all of you!
