Dear Lancaster County Democrats and Friends,
We hope that you and your family are staying safe and healthy.
In this expanded mailing, we wanted to update you on developments regarding the Pennsylvania Primary. Legislation has been passed and signed by Governor Wolf to move the Pennsylvania Primary from Tuesday, April 28, to Tuesday, June 2.
This legislation would also allow county boards of elections to reduce the number of polling places if needed due to potential polling places being closed due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) mitigation and/or shortage of available poll workers.
We are encouraging voters to use the new mail-in ballot option to cast their votes for the Primary. This option allows voters to vote by mail early at home, and no reason is required when requesting a mail-in ballot. Voters who use the mail-in ballot option will avoid going to a physical polling place, thus avoiding potentially large crowds or finding that a polling place consolidation makes the new polling place inaccessible. This option will also be helpful to voters who have no transportation to their polling place.
To apply for a mail-in ballot online, please go to:
https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/OnlineAbsenteeApplication/#/OnlineAbsenteeBegin
If anyone needs to download and print a physical copy of the application for a mail-in ballot, please select and click on the form in English or in Spanish. Physical applications would need to be mailed to:
Lancaster County Voter Registration Office
150 N. Queen St., Suite 117
Lancaster, PA 17603
The new deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is Tuesday, May 26. For more information on mail-in ballots, as well as other voting needs for the Primary, please visit www.votespa.com.
If anyone needs to register to vote or change their voter registration status (such as changing name, address, or party), please go to:

The new deadline to register to vote or change registration before the Primary is currently Monday, May 18.
